With over 15 years of residential and investment real estate experience and a 4th generation San Franciscan, Linda Scheifler Marks brings to her clients the expertise of living in and knowing the San Francisco Bay Area and its communities. For every client, she believes that it all begins with listening to their objectives and understanding their needs. Each transaction is unique, and requires care to keep everyone involved each step of the way. The end result is a coordinated team approach to accomplish your goals. “When I work with my clients,” says Linda, “I apply relevant knowledge of the marketplace and together we calculate and discuss pricing strategies. And during the transaction, I negotiate strategically, keep my clients informed, and I attend to the myriad of details within every transactions with precision and care.” THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED: A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, Linda began her career at the art conservation/restoration department at the Smithsonian Institution. This experience led her to obtain a Master of Art Conservation degree at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Internships at Harvard’s Fogg Art Museum and the National Museum in Copenhagen, Denmark followed. Through this training, Linda developed a keen eye for details and now applies this talent to buying and selling homes and investments for her clients. Desiring to return to San Francisco, Linda established a private art conservation practice to meet the needs of private collectors and museums that did not have staff conservators. Accepting an invitation to join the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, she learned the basic principles of building orientation based on Feng Shui (China) and Vastu (India) and now applies these principles to home and client transactions. Making the move to the Operations Division of Charles Schwab & Company, Linda applied her project management skills and gained expertise in world-class customer service standards which she now uses as the baseline for executing projects and transactions in real estate. “Over the years I have been involved in buying and selling numerous properties and have learned the value of selecting a Realtor carefully,” says C. Campbell. “I was immediately reassured by Linda’s knowledge of the market and her sales and marketing experience. She was exceptionally creative at attracting clients to our property. Linda’s willingness to expend extra effort, monitor each detail of our transaction, and communicate with us on a regular basis was the hallmark of working with her.
